Organic Cloth Diapers Are A Great Way For Parents To Look Out For Their Baby And The Environment
Friday, July 31st, 2009Organic cloth diapers are excellent for your baby and the environment. In many different cloth diapers available. However, they are not all organic many cloth diapers are made out of a cotton and polyester blend. Although these diapers are probably more comfortable for your child, they are not organic.
Indeed, disposable diapers are more convenient, for us, right now. So are Styrofoam cups and plates, as well as many other non-organic items which have a half life of something like ten thousand years… Okay, this is not an exact figure, but, you get the point. These items may be convenient, they are however, also destructive to the future of the planet, as well as the future people who will live on it.
Anything which is introduced into the environment, will certainly have an effect on it in one way or another. The introduction of used disposable diapers into our environment, certainly cannot be creating a desirable effect. We should all do our part in avoiding adding contamination to the earth.
More than a few individuals are apprehensive about using organic cloth diapers. They are concerned about both odor, and that cloth diapers will be very messy. Many parents prefer the convenience of simply removing the diaper and throwing it in the trash, contents and all. Most people do not seem to realize, that this is an illegal manner of, disposing of human waste. It is true, the laws pertaining to the disposal of human waste, are not age specific. The waste should disposed of separately in the toilet.
When you think about how many people use disposable diapers on a daily basis, you cannot help but imagine the millions that are sitting in landfills. Imagine that these diapers are added to daily. What an enormous mountain of used disposable diapers… The elements do not break down the plastic in these diapers, they do however allow the contents to seep into the ground. Certainly no one wants this finding its way into their water supply.
There are other ways of disposing of fecal matter, but that is not the topic at hand, at the moment. For now, at least dispose of it in the toilet. Cloth diapers make this task quite simple, and the more you do this, the more it becomes second nature.
The odor that most people associate with the use of cloth diapers, seems to be the major issue for most people. The truth is, there is no more odor with cloth diapers, than there is with disposable ones. Think about how bothersome a used disposable diaper can be, almost immediately after being placed in the trash bucket. Organic cloth diapers may be washed on a daily basis if preferred. They also may be placed in a secure bucket of water, with a small amount of bleach added. If you prefer you may only the bleach, and instead use lemon. Always remember to keep a bucket of this sort, completely removed from any area which a child can access. This is necessary in order to ensure the child safety, as this presents a danger of drowning.
Statistics have proven that babies who are diapered in cloth do not suffer with more diaper rash than those using disposable diapers. In fact, many people swear by cloth, and claim to have much more comfortable babies.
