Buy Solar Panels - Benefits Of Purchasing Solar Panels

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

Through the recent global financial crisis it has become apparent to many people that becoming as self sufficient as possible is the best bet to survive the coming years. Add this to the tax incentives and all the rebates that are being offered businesses and home owners are jumping on the solar band wagon to gain all this free power from the sun.

Solar power supplies have been developed together with consumers. Various solar panels are purchasable to meet all consumers at definitely affordable rates.

Price competitions have been brought to a new level by manufacturers of these panels that are vying for customers by establishing themselves individually. Nowadays, finding the necessary materials needed to supply us with this technology, as well as having them installed, is not as difficult as before. Recently, new products have even been developed for DIY installations.

Solar panels used to be only good for the environment but there is now a push for them to be seen as a profitable investment. Home owners are making decent money for doing nothing. As more people sign up for panels the industry will only get larger which means even cheaper panels and more money from them.

In the past few months the companies that build solar panels have increased production in expectation of a major sales boom as we exit the financial crisis. This will mean an influx of panels in the market which will only bring down prices further as companies fight for their share.

As prices go even lower the prices may start forcing companies out of the industry as they just don’t have a big enough share to keep it commercially viable for them. This will force prices to stable which could mean a much better end deal for you as you will be able to barter much more for your panels.

As we enter what could be the worse environment disaster we have ever seen, global warming, solar panels could be an easy way out of it. In the years to come solar panels should be acknowledged for the power they have as they can be setup anywhere that has sunlight which means there are many locations that would be perfect for solar farms. The solution to our environment disaster is in front of us but will we choose to see it.

DIY Home Power

Have you ever really thought about how ridiculous it is that we have a huge system that costs billions of dollars to give us electricity, when we have all the electricity we could ever need falling around us all the time? Imagine if we started to take a fraction of it. Everybody has heard of solar panels, but few people realize just how cheap and easy it can be to create 100% clean, free, renewable energy all the time. My neighbors just last week built a set of RV solar panel just last.

The first thing that usually discourages people from installing solar panels is the cost. For a residential home, commercial panels and installation can run upwards of $30,000 depending on where you live and how much of a system you want. However, if you do a bit of creative research, you can turn it into an enjoyable experience that’s fun for the whole family. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Buy a good manual that will tell you everything you need to know about how to make your own solar panels. Investing $50 on a good manual will save you dozens of hours of frustration. With the money you’re going to save building your own panels, it only makes sense to spend $50 to get the job done right.

2. Research solar cells online. The solar cell is the main component of the system; it’s something that you can’t make on your own. Fortunately, they’re really cheap to manufacture. You should be able to find something online for around $70 per panel.

3. Buy the casing materials. I’ve seen sites that claim you can find everything you need for under $30 at your local hardware store/scrap pile. While I haven’t found this to be exactly the case, you can find everything you need for around $50. Depending on your plans, you’ll also need to either find the electronics to wire into your local power grid, or a battery bank. All the info you need should be in your instruction manual.

4. Have a barn raising! Call your friends, neighbors, and kids and make a family weekend project out of it. Everybody who hears what you’re up to will want to come check it out. Use all that help to get your system ready to go!

So there it is in four steps. You could literally have your home running entirely on solar power by the end of the week for under $1,000 total! Eliminate you power bills (or even get paid for extra energy!) and do something that’s good for you and good for the earth.
